God will only give eternal life
to those who:

A. Are sorry for their sins.
2 Corinthians. 7:10
B. Are willing to turn away from their sins.
Acts 3:19
C. Have faith (completely trust in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9

The Bible says, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

When you turn from your sins and trust in Jesus, there will be a supernatural change in your heart which the Bible calls being "Born Again." John 3:3
