There were many Biblical characters who often short circuited God's plans and purposes through their disobedience and others who were in-sync with what God wanted to do in their lives. Those who short circuited God's plans were self-centered while those who were in-sync were God centered.
With Adam and Eve there was a major short circuit in the plan God had for mankind. There was a cause and effect.
They were no longer in-sync with God and his purposes. God had to re-wire them. Thankfully, He re-wires us every time we have a short circuit.
In Sync with God’s Purposes -
© 2017 Kenneth L. Birks
Destined to be all
that the Father has called us to be, we come.
Knowing we are fearfully and wonderfully made, we
give praise.
Acquainted with all our ways, He
draws us unto Himself.
Wired by God, we’re
designed to be in sync with His purposes.
Looking
down from heaven above, He finds those
understanding.
Saved and called, we enter
into His predestinated purposes.
Yielding to
kingdom desires, our vessels, He uses for His glory.
With vision and dreams now reality, we move in sync
with Him.
With divine nature taking root, our
thoughts conform to His will.
With the mind of
Christ, we go forward in the power of His Spirit.
Satan tripping up, causes questioning to our
calling.
With doubt and uncertainty, we
short-circuit God’s wiring.
Amid turmoil and
struggle, we try to rewire what’s broken.
Caught
up in our ill-devised plans, we stumble in darkness.
Desperate to get back in sync, we repent and humble
ourselves.
In mercy, God rewires the mess
we’ve made of His handiwork.
Though our course is
altered, He places us back on the path.
With full
acceptance, we know His thoughts are precious.
Confident in His love, we press toward His high
calling.
In sync with His purposes, dying daily,
we embrace His cross.
Fully abandoned unto
Him, His anointing, He releases.
His Spirit no
longer quenched, His will and good pleasure
liberate.
As sovereignty meets free will, we come
together with Him, in sync.
Looking down from
heaven above, He sees us as useful vessels.
Prepared and re-wired, we go forth with a conquering
spirit.
