When we came to
Christ, we recognized our need for His grace and
love and had no problem accepting what He had to
offer because of our helpless condition. But how
many of us continue to live in this helpless
condition, being totally dependent upon His grace
and sufficiency to cover our lives?
The Grace of God
leads us in such a way that makes obedience to
His word almost effortless at times. It is
only as we are walking in grace and not a
performance driven life that obedience to His
commands becomes effortless and produces in us
an overcoming attitude that teaches us to deny
ungodliness and worldly lusts. A performance
driven life will only produce struggles that
end in defeat. (1 John 5:3-4, Titus 2:11-12)
